Youth tennis tournaments conclude in Yenişehir and Konya

Multiple youth tennis tournaments recently concluded in Turkey, highlighting regional investments in sports infrastructure and youth development.

In Yenişehir, the Turkish Tennis Federation organized a weekend tournament for athletes aged 8, 9, and 10 at the Ata Tennis Complex. The event drew 110 participants from various provinces, including Mersin, Adana, Ankara, Kayseri, Gaziantep, Hatay, Konya, and Diyarbakır. Sami Artun Lafçı of the Ata Tennis Academy Sports Club secured the championship in the 9-year-old category.

In Konya, the Republic Day Tennis Tournament, held in collaboration with Karatay Municipality and the Konya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, concluded after five days of competition. The event featured 108 athletes competing in singles categories for ages 9, 10, 12, and 14 to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the Republic. Karatay Belediyespor Club athletes, including Ruken Yıldız and Yusuf Taşpınar, placed in various age brackets.
