YouthNet invites Nagaland startups to apply for MeitY GENESIS funding
YouthNet Incubation Centre has invited applications from eligible startups in Nagaland for the Pilot Component of the MeitY GENESIS Pilot 2.0 programme. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and implemented through the MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
The programme offers funding of up to ₹40 lakh to assist startups in deploying and demonstrating market-ready solutions through pilot projects with government bodies, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and large enterprises. To qualify, startups must have already secured a Purchase Order or Work Order (PO/WO). Funding amounts will be determined based on the verified costs of delivering the pilot project as outlined in a utilization plan.
As the implementing partner in Nagaland, YouthNet Incubation Centre will recommend funding amounts, while the final decision rests with the MeitY Startup Hub. The programme also requires participating startups to allot up to 3% of their fully diluted post-money shareholding to the implementing agency for the benefit of the MSH. Applications for the programme are open until October 30.
