YouthNet recognized for social entrepreneurship and startup support in Nagaland

YouthNet, a youth development and social enterprise based in Nagaland, has been named a national finalist for the 17th Social Entrepreneur of the Year (SEOY) India 2026 Award. The recognition, presented by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, highlights the organization’s work in education, livelihoods, and environmental sustainability in Northeast India.

In a separate initiative, YouthNet is facilitating the MeitY GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) 3.0 programme in Nagaland. This program, part of a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiative, invites technology-driven startups and innovators to apply for financial support of up to ₹10 lakh. As the implementing partner, the YouthNet Incubation Centre provides selected participants with mentorship, business-model development, and access to industry networks to help scale ventures in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
