YouTube CEO asserts leading creators will remain on the platform
Neal Mohan, chief executive of YouTube, told the New York Times that the platform’s most influential creators view YouTube as their permanent home. He said even when creators negotiate with rivals such as Netflix, they return to YouTube because of its vast audience, strong algorithmic discovery and flexible monetisation tools.
In France’s Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes region, an agriculteur has launched a YouTube channel to showcase farm life, promote dairy and produce, and attract direct customers. The farmer reports that long‑form video content builds authentic connections, generates leads and drives sales, illustrating how the platform supports niche creators beyond entertainment.
Both examples underline YouTube’s role as a commercial and creative hub that retains talent across diverse sectors.
