YouTube Premium raises subscription prices globally

Google is implementing widespread price increases for YouTube Premium subscriptions across multiple global markets. The adjustments, which generally range between 10% and 15%, follow a similar pattern to recent price hikes in the United States.

In Europe, subscribers in countries such as Spain, Italy, Finland, and the Netherlands are seeing increases across all plans, including Individual, Family, Student, and Premium Lite. For instance, the Individual plan in several regions is rising from €13.99 to €15.99, while Family plans are increasing by approximately €4 per month. In Slovakia, the Family plan is rising from €15.99 to €17.99.

In Asia, Singapore is seeing price adjustments where Individual plans rise to S$15.98 and Family plans to S$31.98. The United Arab Emirates is also affected, with Individual plans increasing from AED 26.99 to AED 29.99 and Family plans rising from AED 49.99 to AED 57.99.

YouTube states that these changes are intended to support creators and artists while allowing the platform to continue improving its services and features. The new rates typically take effect based on the individual subscriber's next billing cycle, with many changes scheduled to begin in late September 2026 or early October.
