YouTube Premium price hike in Turkey

YouTube announced that, starting 11 June 2026, all Premium subscription tiers in Turkey will be more expensive. The individual plan rises from 79.99 TL to 119.99 TL, the family plan from 159.99 TL to 239.99 TL, the student plan from 52.99 TL to 79.99 TL, and the Premium Lite tier from 49.99 TL to 79.99 TL. Prices for iOS subscriptions remain about 30 % higher than those bought via Android or the web because of Apple’s in‑app purchase fees.

Analysts expect some users—especially students and budget‑conscious consumers—to reconsider their subscriptions, possibly switching to free tiers or alternative services. However, many users are likely to stay for ad‑free viewing, background playback, offline downloads and YouTube Music access.
