YouTube Premium raises subscription prices in Singapore and Europe

YouTube is implementing price increases for its Premium subscription service across several international markets, including Singapore and various European countries.

In Singapore, individual memberships are rising to S$15.98 per month, while family plans will increase to S$31.98. In Europe, users in countries such as Portugal, Italy, and Spain have reported receiving notifications of hikes. For instance, in Spain, the family plan is expected to rise from 25.99 to 29.99 EUR, and individual plans from 13.99 to 15.99 EUR. Other reported increases include adjustments in Finland and Romania.

YouTube stated that these adjustments are intended to “continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube”. The price changes follow a previous increase in the United States in April 2026. The news has prompted some subscribers to reconsider their memberships, with some users expressing dissatisfaction on social media platforms regarding the rising costs of ad-free viewing and background play features.
