YouTube removes Archdiocese of Łódź official channel

YouTube has removed the official YouTube channel of the Archdiocese of Łódź, citing violations of community guidelines. The removal occurred during the night of September 7–8, affecting a channel that had been active for 15 years.

The deletion has resulted in the loss of access to various religious and informational materials, including live broadcasts, homilies, interviews, and reports on church events. Notably, the channel hosted content from Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, the former Archbishop of Łódź and current Archbishop of Kraków.

The Archdiocese stated that the decision was made without prior contact with administrators or an opportunity to explain the situation. In response, the Curia has filed an appeal and is seeking clarification from the platform. Until the matter is resolved, the Archdiocese will publish its audiovisual materials and current recordings on its official Facebook profile.
