YouTubers Purshotam Vashisht and Sachin Yadav conducted a social experiment at the Haridwar Kanwar Mela to determine the potential daily income of a beggar. During the experiment, Sachin disguised himself in torn clothing and dirt to blend into the crowd of devotees.

Over an eight-hour period, Sachin approached visitors for alms, receiving both cash and digital payments via a UPI QR code. By the end of the day, the duo collected a total of approximately Rs 4,000. The experiment drew varied reactions from the public, with some devotees offering food and water while others expressed anger or skepticism.
