YouTuber HIKAKIN appears in Fuji TV’s ‘Drifters Challenge Special’

Fuji Television aired a two‑hour variety special on 11 August, bringing together celebrities who love the classic comedy troupe The Drifters. The program left the studio for Nagareyama City’s Uwagasaki Elementary School in Chiba, where about 700 pupils watched live performances of famous Drifters sketches such as “School Trip,” “Beard Dance,” and “Milk‑CM.” YouTuber HIKAKIN and comedian Daiyan Tsuda took part for the first time, joining veteran performers like Takagi Boo, Kanno Eiko and others. HIKAKIN added a human‑beatbox rendition of the Drifters’ theme and joked, “I was scared at first, but I decided to go for it – maybe this will be my legendary day.” The show blended nostalgia with new‑generation humor, aiming to entertain audiences across generations.
