YouTuber Joeman returns amid mental health reflections and new controversy

Taiwanese YouTuber Joeman has returned to social media following a two-week hiatus caused by a recent relationship controversy. In a new video, Joeman shared that he has been struggling with depression and anxiety, noting that the sudden halt in his high-intensity work schedule forced him to confront suppressed emotions. To manage his mental health, he has undergone five counseling sessions and engaged in various activities such as learning guitar and playing badminton to redirect his focus.

However, his return has sparked fresh controversy. During a team outing at a theme park, Joeman’s manager made a joke stating that, according to studio rules, staff “cannot wear raincoats” when using water attractions. Online viewers linked this comment to previous allegations made by Joeman’s ex-girlfriend, Xiao Yi, regarding his sexual preferences. Xiao Yi criticized the remark on social media, describing it as “secondary harm” to the victims of the recent scandal.
