YouVersion expands digital Bible reach in Latin America

YouVersion recently convened ministerial leaders and organizations in Mexico City to discuss the growing digital engagement with the Bible across Latin America. The meeting included representatives from groups such as The Chosen, The Bible Project, and Alpha to evaluate the impact of digital ministry in the region.

Since opening its Latin American Hub in Mexico City in early 2025, YouVersion has expanded its local presence. The organization reported that its network of allied churches in the region has grown by 74%, now totaling 2,374 churches. Additionally, its content ally network has nearly tripled to 739 creators, ministries, and authors.

In the 18 Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America, the YouVersion app family has reached 135 million cumulative installations and continues to see double-digit growth. CEO Bobby Gruenewald noted that while it took 17 years to reach the first 100 billion devices, he anticipates the next 100 billion will arrive within the next five years due to global demand.
