Yovanis Baltazar mediates suspension of medical strike in San Pedro de Macorís

Provincial Governor Yovanis Baltazar successfully mediated the suspension of a 24-hour medical strike in San Pedro de Macorís. The strike, which targeted public hospitals, was called to demand improvements in working conditions and remuneration for medical staff, nursing personnel, and other hospital collaborators.

The resolution was reached following a meeting at the Hospital Regional Doctor Antonio Musa. Participants included the hospital director, representatives from the Dominican Medical College (San Pedro de Macorís branch), and officials from the National Health Service. The mediation allowed for the continuity of health services in the province's public hospitals.
