Yoyogi National Gymnasium to host first Jiu-Jitsu world championship in 2026

The SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 3 to September 6, 2026, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium First Gymnasium in Japan. This marks the first time a Jiu-Jitsu world championship will be held at this historic venue.

The event aims to host approximately 8,000 athletes, following the 2025 tournament in Chiba which saw 5,500 participants from 62 countries. Organizers are currently seeking sponsors and exhibitors for various tiers, including Diamond, Premium, and Official sponsorship levels, as well as dedicated booth spaces for product sales and promotion.

In addition to corporate opportunities, limited VIP spectator tickets have been released. These premium seats, restricted to 100 per day, offer access to a royal box, a dedicated lounge with refreshments, and proximity to the black belt and coaching areas.
