Yozgat authorities conduct intensive traffic and freight inspections

Law enforcement agencies in Yozgat, Turkey, have conducted extensive traffic inspections targeting various violations to improve road safety and public order.

Police operations conducted between August 20 and August 26, 2026, resulted in numerous penalties for offenses including driving without a license, driving under the influence, illegal vehicle modifications, excessive noise, and mobile phone use while driving. Specific enforcement actions included significant fines and the temporary seizure of vehicles for offenses such as drifting, weaving through traffic, and using loud exhausts.

Simultaneously, the Yozgat Provincial Gendarmerie Command has been performing strict inspections on freight-carrying vehicles. These checks focus on ensuring compliance with tonnage limits to prevent damage to road infrastructure and reduce accident risks. Authorities have also emphasized the importance of seatbelt use and adherence to speed limits, noting that inspections of commercial transport vehicles will continue throughout the province.
