Yozgat hosts 25th International Sürmeli Festivals

The 25th International Sürmeli Festivals are currently underway in Yozgat, featuring a diverse program of cultural, artistic, sporting, and entertainment activities. The event commenced with a traditional parade involving the Yozgat Municipality City Theater team, youth police units, and local football teams, moving from the Terminal area to Cumhuriyet Square.

Key activities include science festivals for children, folk dance performances, and various local openings, such as the Mother-Child Center and Child Art Center. To support the local economy, stalls for regional products have been established to showcase local flavors and handicrafts.

The musical program features various artists, including the Yozgat Municipality Music Ensemble and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Turkish Folk Music Ensemble. The festival's concluding evening is scheduled to feature performances by Oğuz Kazancı and the band Kolpa.
