YPF achieves TOP TIER+ certification for INFINIA TURBOCLEAN fuel

YPF has achieved the international TOP TIER™+ certification for its premium fuel line, INFINIA TURBOCLEAN. This certification recognizes the fuel's ability to meet the demanding standards of modern automotive technologies, specifically focusing on engines equipped with turbochargers and direct injection.

To earn this recognition, the fuel underwent rigorous testing regarding combustion quality, injector deposit control, and protection against pre-ignition in turbo engines. The certification aims to validate improvements in engine efficiency, cleanliness, and durability.

In a related context regarding fuel usage, experts note that premium gasoline typically features a higher octane rating—approximately 98—compared to super gasoline. Using premium fuel is recommended for high-performance and turbocharged engines to prevent premature detonation and maintain optimal combustion cycles. Mixing different octane levels can reduce engine efficiency and increase emissions.
