YPF and McDonald’s launch strategic alliance in Argentina
YPF and Arcos Dorados (McDonald’s) have inaugurated their first joint location in Vicente López, Argentina. Located at Avenida del Libertador 901, the site serves as the fourth “YPF Black” station in the country and integrates McDonald’s gastronomy with YPF’s Full convenience stores.
The strategic partnership aims to transform traditional service stations into “destinations” that offer energy, premium food, specialty coffee, and personalized services. The agreement between the energy company and the fast-food giant includes a plan to open up to 100 locations across Argentina, with the next anticipated opening scheduled for 2027.
YPF CEO Horacio Marín stated that the company is working to expand its retail presence, aiming for its Full convenience stores to exceed USD 1 billion in revenue next year. The new facility incorporates sustainable technologies, such as LED lighting, programmable climate control, and waste management systems, in alignment with Arcos Dorados’ environmental strategies.
