YPF CEO Horacio Marín has announced ambitious growth projections for the company, stating that oil production is expected to reach one million barrels per day for the first time in history. This expansion is driven by the development of the Vaca Muerta formation. Marín projects that Argentine oil exports could rise to $18 billion, with total energy sector exports potentially reaching $58 billion by 2030.

To support these operations, YPF and the government of Entre Ríos have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The pact focuses on boosting the production of silica sand—a critical resource for hydraulic fracturing—and improving logistics through the development of road, rail, and river infrastructure. The agreement also aims to integrate local suppliers into the energy chain and explore opportunities in mining, electromobility, and agro-industrial storage.

Additionally, Marín highlighted the “Argentina LNG” project, which is expected to generate between $200 billion and $300 billion in exports. The project, involving partners such as Eni and XRG, aims to reach a signing stage by late November, with construction potentially beginning in February.
