YPFB authorized to import diesel in Bolivia
The National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) has authorized Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) to import and commercialize diesel oil throughout Bolivia for a period of one year. The authorization, issued via Administrative Resolution RAR-ANH-DJ-UGJN N.° 0625/2026, aims to ensure the supply of fuel to service stations nationwide.
Under the agreement, the imported diesel will enter the country via tanker trucks and be transported to YPFB Logística storage plants located in various departments. To ensure quality, every shipment must be accompanied by a Certificate of Origin Quality. YPFB is responsible for maintaining technical specifications and quality standards during transport, reception, unloading, storage, and final sale, in compliance with Supreme Decree N° 5619.
As part of the oversight process, YPFB is required to submit monthly reports to the ANH regarding the volumes imported. The ANH will conduct continuous technical inspections and verifications to monitor compliance with safety conditions and fuel quality regulations.
