YPFB increases fuel distribution and blocks license plates in Bolivia

Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) has announced an increase in gasoline and diesel distribution across all nine departments of Bolivia to address recent supply shortages. This follows reports of significant delays and empty stations in regions including Santa Cruz, La Paz, and Cochabamba.

In coordination with the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH), municipal governments, and the RUAT system, YPFB will continue to block the license plates of vehicles identified as making repetitive fuel loads. This measure aims to prevent the hoarding and illegal diversion of subsidized fuel into black markets. The government previously reported that approximately 700 vehicles had already been blocked for irregular loading patterns.
