YPFB promotes granulated urea at Agro Vidas 2026 fair

Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) is promoting the use of granulated urea to support agricultural development during the 22nd Agro Vidas 2026 fair in Warnes. The state-owned company is focusing on providing this fertilizer, which contains 46% nitrogen, to help increase crop productivity by up to 65%.

As part of its participation, YPFB has established demonstration plots featuring crops such as corn, sorghum, sunflower, wheat, and Brachiaria grass. These plots allow producers, students, and specialists to compare fertilized crops against unfertilized control groups to observe the direct impact on plant vigor and growth.

Technical experts from YPFB’s Management of Derived and Industrialized Products (GPDI) are providing training on proper application methods, including specific dosage recommendations and timing for different species to ensure optimal nutrient absorption.
