YSRCP to contest all seats in Andhra Pradesh local body elections

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has resolved to contest every seat in the upcoming rural and urban local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. During a high-level meeting in Tadepalli, YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed party leaders and cadres to ensure a candidate is fielded for every MPTC, ZPTC, Zilla Parishad, and municipal seat.

Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that a strong anti-incumbency sentiment exists against the current ruling coalition. He urged the party to fight against potential malpractices and emphasized that the party will not tolerate unanimous elections, insisting that voters must have the opportunity to decide through a contest.

The party plans to launch an intensive grassroots mobilization campaign, which includes door-to-door visits and the distribution of QR-coded ID cards to cadres down to the village level. This strategy is intended to highlight the contrast between the YSRCP and the current government to pave the way for future political victories.
