YS Sharmila denies political reconciliation rumors

YS Sharmila, president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, has denied rumors regarding a recent meeting with her brother, YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Speculation had circulated on social media suggesting that a meeting at his Bengaluru residence signaled a political reconciliation or Sharmila’s potential resignation from the Congress party to rejoin the YSR Congress.

Sharmila dismissed these reports as ‘fabricated’ and ‘baseless,’ stating that any upcoming meeting with Jagan would be solely to personally extend an invitation to her daughter Anjili Reddy’s wedding. She emphasized that inviting leaders from various political parties to a family wedding is a standard courtesy and rejected claims that she is using a personal milestone for ‘backdoor politics.’

Sharmila noted that her last meeting with Jagan occurred when he invited her to her son’s wedding. She maintained that political leaders from different parties are welcome to attend the wedding to bless the couple without it being interpreted as a political signal.
