YS Sharmila moves daughter’s wedding venue due to property dispute

Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila has announced that her daughter, YS Anjili Reddy, will no longer hold her wedding at the family’s Yelahanka residence in Bengaluru. The decision follows an ongoing controversy regarding the ownership of the property.

Sharmila stated that the Yelahanka house, which was previously jointly owned, was allotted entirely to her and her children during the division of family assets after her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, became Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. She asserted that the property rightfully belongs to her children and expressed emotional distress over being unable to fulfill her daughter’s wish to marry in the home where she grew up and where her grandfather, former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, lived.

To ensure the wedding of Anjili Reddy and Somala Raghuram Reddy proceeds without conflict or controversy, Sharmila has decided to relocate the ceremony to a different venue.
