Ysidro Kagami Fujimori, cousin of Keiko Fujimori, found dead in Lima
Ysidro Fernando Kagami Fujimori, the 67-year-old cousin of Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori, was found dead in his apartment in the La Molina district of Lima. Neighbors alerted authorities after noticing his prolonged absence, with some reporting they had not seen him for up to a month.
Police entered the residence through a window and discovered Kagami Fujimori's body in the kitchen, seated in a chair. While the body showed signs of advanced decomposition, initial reports indicate no obvious signs of trauma or violence. The exact cause and time of death remain under investigation by the Policía Nacional del Perú.
Kagami Fujimori, the son of Juana Fujimori and Ysidro Kagami Jiraku, was a service consultant. President Keiko Fujimori expressed her grief on social media, stating, “I deeply regret the passing of my cousin Ysidro Kagami Fujimori,” and noted that the family has decided to hold a private farewell.
