YTB higher education quota applications open for TRNC students

Applications for the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) quotas will begin this Friday for TRNC nationals seeking higher education in Türkiye using A-Level results.

Eligible applicants must reside in Northern Cyprus, be graduates of TRNC high schools, and be under 21 years of age. Applications must be submitted in person to the Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education and Foreign Relations by next Tuesday. Behçet Çelebi, Director of the Department, noted that graduates of Republic of Türkiye high schools are ineligible for these specific quotas. The process includes both 'Full Scholarship' and 'Placement' categories as outlined in the official YTB 2026 application guide.
