YTL AI Labs launches ILMUCode AI coding platform
YTL AI Labs has launched ILMUCode, an agentic AI coding platform designed to assist developers, students, and software builders. Developed in partnership with Z.ai, the platform utilizes the ILMU-GLM-5.3 model to provide frontier-level coding capabilities, including understanding complex codebases, writing and modifying code, troubleshooting, and automating development tasks through agentic workflows.
ILMUCode is being deployed at Universiti Malaya, marking the first Malaysian university to adopt the technology. Approximately 800 first-year students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology will receive RM100 in monthly credits for three months to explore the platform.
The platform aims to provide high-level coding capabilities via sovereign infrastructure at a lower cost. It reportedly ranks among the world’s leading coding models on benchmarks such as Terminal-Bench 2.1 and DeepSWE. This launch follows previous YTL AI Labs initiatives, including the ILMU Claw Agentic AI Platform developed in collaboration with NVIDIA.
