Yucatán Drives Growth with Job Fair and Expanding Meetings Tourism

The Yucatán state government hosted the National Employment Fair in Mérida in June 2026, featuring 48 companies and more than 500 formal job openings with salaries ranging from 9,600 to 30,000 pesos. The event included inclusive employment workshops and talent‑assessment tools to aid job seekers across education levels.

During the same year, Yucatán’s meetings‑tourism segment recorded an economic impact of over 655 million pesos in the first five months, attracting 26,685 national and international participants across 57 large events. Officials project an additional 1.2 billion pesos will flow into the local economy from 45 confirmed conferences and forums slated for the latter half of 2026, underscoring the sector’s role as a major growth engine.
