Mexico local governments implement educational and infrastructure projects

Various municipal and state governments across Mexico are implementing programs to support education and public infrastructure. In Ciudad Juárez, authorities have distributed over 60,000 school supplies, including backpacks and lunchboxes, to more than 120 schools to assist family economies.

Infrastructure improvements are also widespread. In Yucatán, Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena invested 7 million pesos to install a protective dome at a primary school in Sucilá. In Jalisco, the city of Guadalajara completed a 9.3 million peso renovation of the Miguel Hidalgo Primary School. Other local projects include the delivery of new classrooms in Zinacantepec, the inauguration of a community development center in Cozumel, and the installation of new media rooms in Mazatlán.

Beyond schools, local governments are addressing urban maintenance and health. Mérida has deployed new heavy machinery for street repairs and intensified drainage cleaning ahead of potential weather events. In Sinaloa, the IMSS is expanding hemodialysis capacity, specifically doubling the number of machines in Guasave to reduce patient wait times.
