Yucatán hosts senior citizens expo to celebrate community experience

The Expo Personas Adultas Mayores 2026, titled “Renacer desde Nuestras Raíces,” is being held on August 28 and 29 at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center. Organized by Sistema DIF Yucatán, the event aims to recognize the experience and active participation of senior citizens in their families and communities.

More than 40 institutions, including universities and various associations, are participating to offer services related to health, rights, culture, mobility, and employment. The expo provides free access to wellness activities, sports, and cultural programming for seniors from Mérida and other parts of the state.
