Yucatán invests 10 million pesos in Motul Technological Institute

The Yucatán state government has completed an infrastructure upgrade at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Motul, involving an investment of approximately 10 million pesos. The improvements include the creation of a new cybersecurity laboratory equipped with high-performance computers, wireless internet across the campus, projectors, interactive screens, and a video surveillance system, costing over 4.5 million pesos.

Additional investments include more than 3 million pesos for a solar panel system to generate clean energy and over 2 million pesos for electrical grid renovations and transformer maintenance. During the inauguration, Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena instructed the Secretary of Education to include classroom air conditioning in the 2027 budget.

The Governor noted that these actions are part of the ‘Renacimiento Maya’ initiative to reduce economic inequality through higher education. He also acknowledged the support of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, citing over 50 billion pesos in strategic investment projects for the state of Yucatán.
