Yucatán signs labor peace agreement to boost investment
Yucatán Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena presided over the signing of the Agreement for Labor Peace and Well-being, a partnership between the State Labor Conciliation Center (Cecoley) and the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
The initiative aims to strengthen labor peace through dialogue and conciliation to foster investment and job creation in the region. According to the Governor, current administration policies have already resulted in the distribution of over 618 million pesos to workers through conciliation agreements, resolving disputes through dialogue rather than lengthy and costly legal trials.
Under the new agreement, Cecoley will provide services directly to CCE-affiliated companies to prevent workplace conflicts. This will include training, seminars, workshops, and guidance on labor rights, as well as the promotion of the ‘Precolab’ distinction for good labor practices.
