Yugoslav cinema legends: Notable anecdotes of actors Pavle Vuisić and Milena Dravić

Memorable anecdotes from the history of Yugoslav cinema highlight the personal lives and professional interactions of its most prominent actors.

During the filming of "Maratonci trče počasni krug," actors Pavle Vuisić and Danilo Bata Stojković engaged in a long-standing professional tension regarding scene repetitions. The dispute culminated in a planned prank where Vuisić used a prop wooden board to strike Stojković. While intended to be a soft strike using a pre-cut board, Vuisić intentionally flipped the board to strike Stojković with more force, jokingly claiming it was a "two-decade" revenge for Stojković's perfectionism.

In another era of Yugoslav film history, actors Milena Dravić and Dragan Nikolić shared a unique wedding story. The couple married on December 31, 1971, during a lunch break while filming "Kako su se volele dve budale." They bypassed a traditional ceremony, instead visiting the Vračar municipality with Seka Sablić serving as the maid of honor. Due to the informal nature of the event, no wedding photographs were ever taken, leaving a child's drawing as a primary memento of the day.
