Yuhan Corp launches blood‑sugar probiotic Glucobiotic in Mexico

Yuhan Corp announced that its blood‑glucose‑management probiotic, marketed as “DangQulak” and branded locally as Glucobiotic, is now available in Mexico. The launch follows a five‑year supply agreement with a Mexican partner valued at about 130 billion KRW and the completion of product registration last year.

The supplement contains the Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HAC01 strain, which the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has approved for post‑meal blood‑sugar reduction. Clinical trials showed statistically significant decreases in HbA1c and two‑hour post‑meal glucose after eight weeks of use. Since its domestic debut in April 2023, the product has generated roughly 60 billion KRW in sales in South Korea. Yuhan plans to use the Mexican market as a gateway to expand its health‑functional‑food business across Central and South America.
