Yuhan Corporation and Boehringer Ingelheim sign strategic healthcare partnership

Yuhan Corporation and Boehringer Ingelheim Korea have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to expand their 16 year partnership into a comprehensive healthcare innovation alliance. Building on a long term relationship that began in 2010 with the co-promotion of hypertension and diabetes treatments, the two companies are shifting from a traditional distribution model to a broader collaboration aimed at advancing the healthcare ecosystem.

The partnership will focus on three strategic pillars: driving healthcare innovation, expanding patient treatment benefits through combined expertise, and establishing a sustainable healthcare ecosystem. Key areas of cooperation include digital healthcare, patient support programs, disease awareness, and medical education.

Furthermore, the companies plan to collaborate on cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic (CRM) diseases by introducing innovative medicines, conducting clinical and scientific exchanges, and generating real world evidence (RWE). To implement these goals, a joint working group will be established to manage specific tasks and execution plans.
