Yuhan Corporation and Novartis Korea partner to distribute Remibrutinib
Yuhan Corporation and Novartis Korea have entered into a strategic partnership for the domestic distribution, sales, and promotion of Remibrutinib (brand name Lapsido), an oral BTK inhibitor for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU).
Under the agreement, Yuhan Corporation will manage overall domestic distribution and handle promotion for clinics and local medical offices. Novartis Korea will focus on promotional activities targeting general hospitals.
Remibrutinib received domestic approval in April for adult patients whose symptoms are not adequately controlled by H1 antihistamines. The drug works by selectively inhibiting BTK to reduce the release of inflammatory mediators. Clinical studies (REMIX-1 and REMIX-2) demonstrated significant improvement in weekly urticaria activity scores (UAS7) compared to a placebo, with efficacy and safety maintained through 52 weeks of treatment.
