Yuhan Corporation marks 100th anniversary with memorial and history publication
Yuhan Corporation is celebrating its centennial by honoring its founder, Dr. Il-han New, and documenting its century of operations. A memorial monument was unveiled on January 17 at Yuhan Dongsan in Yecheon, South Korea, to honor the achievements of Dr. New and his father, Ki-yeon New. The ceremony, hosted by the Jinju Ryu clan, recognizes Dr. New’s legacy of social responsibility and his philosophy of returning corporate profits to society.
To mark the milestone, the company has also published ‘The 100-Year History of Yuhan,’ a three-volume collection consisting of a general history, an R&D history, and a commemorative photo book. The publication details the company’s evolution from its founding in 1926 to its current status as a global pharmaceutical entity. It highlights key milestones, such as the development of the lung cancer treatment Lazertinib, which received U.S. FDA approval, and the company’s transition toward an R&D-centered global business model.
