Yuichiro Tamaki campaigns in Shiga for Democratic Party for the People

Yuichiro Tamaki, leader of the Democratic Party for the People, held a street speech in Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, to support Kosuke Doi in the Shiga Prefectural Assembly by-election. Tamaki emphasized the party's stance of “resolution rather than confrontation” and called for voters to support Doi to ensure local voices are reflected in policy.

During the event, Tamaki also outlined the party's broader strategy for local governance, stating a goal to double the number of the party's local assembly members to 700 in the unified local elections scheduled for next spring. He specifically mentioned a target of expanding the party's presence in Shiga to 13 local assembly seats.
