Yuka Sugai attends Nagoya talk event for NHK drama ‘Toyotomi Kyodai!’

Actress Yuka Sugai, who portrays Matsu in the NHK Taiga drama ‘Toyotomi Kyodai!’, participated in a talk event titled ‘Toyotomi Kyodai! Talk Live in Nagoya ~Matsu Edition~’ at Shirakawa Hall on the 23rd. The event was moderated by Tetsuyo Ikeda, who plays Niwa Nagahide in the series.

Prior to the event, Sugai visited Maeda Sounen-ji in Nagoya's Nakagawa Ward, a site believed to be the birthplace of Maeda Toshiie. While visiting, she offered prayers at the Amida Nyorai statue donated by Toshiie. Sugai noted that visiting these historical sites provides strength for her performance, stating it felt as if Matsu were still alive.

During the talk live, Sugai discussed the charms of the production and behind-the-scenes episodes. She expressed her determination to portray the character of Matsu with even greater depth in upcoming filming sessions.
