Yuki Bhambri and Anirudh Chandrasekar exit US Open in first round

Indian tennis players Yuki Bhambri and Anirudh Chandrasekar were eliminated in the first round of the US Open men's doubles competition in New York.

Bhambri, partnering with New Zealander Michael Venus, lost to the American duo Ryan Seggerman and Patrik Trhac in a close match with scores of 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3). The defeat follows Bhambri's significant run in the 2025 tournament, where he and Venus reached the semifinals.

Anirudh Chandrasekar, playing alongside Belarus' Ivan Liutarevich, was defeated by the British pair Arthur Fery and Joshua Paris in three sets, with a final score of 4-6, 7-5, 4-6.
