Yudai Furukawa discusses starring role in new suspense drama
Actor Yudai Furukawa is currently starring in the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV suspense drama ‘Shin'ai naru Otto e ~Kanpeki na Tsuma no Uso~’ alongside Rena Tanaka. Furukawa plays Yuichi, a popular freelance announcer whose life is disrupted by the mysterious death of his wife, who had shown an obsessive level of affection toward him.
In interviews, Furukawa discussed the complexity of the role, noting that the character’s lack of decisiveness and tendency to be easily manipulated drives the plot forward. He also shared personal insights, mentioning his preference for simple meals at chain restaurants during tours and his evolving approach to social interactions.
Separately, talent Asuka Kishi has garnered attention for her performance in the TV Tokyo drama ‘Issho ni Gohan o Taberu dake’. Kishi plays Miwako Saito, a character who has undergone a significant visual change with a ‘hime-cut’ hairstyle, portraying a wife involved in an extramarital affair.
