Yuki Kawamura released by Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have announced the release of Japanese national team player Yuki Kawamura. Kawamura was playing under an Exhibit 10 contract intended for training camp participation.

This development comes during Kawamura’s third season attempting to establish himself in the NBA. Despite his goal of securing a standard contract, the Clippers decided to part ways before the regular season began. Kawamura showed flashes of potential during the preseason; notably, in a game against the Toronto Raptors, he recorded 10 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals in approximately 14 minutes of play.

If Kawamura does not secure a contract with another NBA team, he is expected to play for the San Diego Clippers in the G League.
