Yuki Kuroda joins comedy duo Gappori Kensetsu

Actor Yuki Kuroda has joined the comedy duo Gappori Kensetsu, marking a new chapter for the group following its high-profile dissolution. The duo, originally consisting of Minoru Murota and Toshio Kobori, effectively disbanded after Murota confronted Kobori on the Fuji TV documentary program "The Nonfiction" regarding Kobori's use of group funds for gambling.

Kuroda, a former child actor who gained acclaim for roles in NHK's "Takeda Shingen" and the film "Gakko III," stated that he had long-standing ties with the group. He expressed his desire to support the duo and suggested the timing of the announcement was intended to coincide with the broadcast of a follow-up documentary focusing on Kobori.

The newly reformed Gappori Kensetsu plans to focus its activities on YouTube and aims to make a stage debut, with Murota and Kuroda working together to develop new comedy material under the motto of "energizing Japan."
