Yuki Nagasato joins FC Imabari Ladies as coach and player
Former Japan women's national team forward Yuki Nagasato is returning to active football. FC Imabari Ladies announced on September 2 that Nagasato will join the club as a Striker IDP (Individual Development Program) coach and player.
The two-month contract is scheduled to run from September 8 to November 8. Nagasato, who announced her retirement in March 2025, also intends to register as an amateur player to support the team's goal of promoting to the Nadeshiko League.
Nagasato has an extensive international career, having earned 132 caps and scored 58 goals for Japan. Her professional history includes stints with major clubs such as NTV Beleza, Chelsea LFC, VfL Wolfsburg, and the Houston Dash.
