Yuki Tsunoda returns to F1 with strong Dutch GP performance

Yuki Tsunoda made a successful return to Formula 1 at the Dutch Grand Prix, stepping in as a substitute for Isack Hadjar, who was sidelined by a wrist injury. Despite having only driven four times in the eight months since his last race in Abu Dhabi, Tsunoda finished in 11th place, outperforming teammate Arvid Lindblad.

Tsunoda credited Red Bull for helping him maintain his sharpness through simulator work. He noted that adapting to the current car generation presented significant challenges, specifically regarding steering wheel procedures, energy deployment, and tire degradation.

Following his performance, the Japanese driver expressed confidence in his ability to compete at a high level and issued a call to F1 teams to consider him for future opportunities, specifically targeting the 2027 season as he seeks to secure his long-term future in the sport.
