Yuki Tsunoda seeks F1 return after Dutch GP performance
Yuki Tsunoda has issued a public call to Formula 1 teams to consider him for future full-time seats following an impressive substitute appearance at the Dutch Grand Prix. Tsunoda was called up to race for Racing Bulls at Zandvoort to replace Liam Lawson, who moved up to Red Bull after Isack Hadjar was sidelined with a wrist injury.
Despite having minimal preparation and having not raced in a competitive session for eight months, Tsunoda delivered a solid performance. He finished 11th in the main race, narrowly missing out on a points-scoring position and finishing just seconds behind Pierre Gasly.
Tsunoda noted that while the transition to the Racing Bulls car was challenging due to different procedures and tire degradation characteristics, he felt he performed well. He expressed confidence in his ability to adapt quickly and encouraged teams still finalizing their lineups to “call me, please!”
