Yuki Yoda and Shuhei Nomura to star in new drama ‘Dekiai Kareshi no Tsukurikata’

TV Tokyo has announced the upcoming drama NEXT series, ‘Dekiai Kareshi no Tsukurikata: From Sex Friend to Main Girl,’ which is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 7. The production stars Yuki Yoda, a former member of Nogizaka46, as Sakura Shirai, a 26-year-old city hall employee, and Shuhei Nomura as her colleague Keisuke Watanuki.

Based on the manga by Zakuzakuro, the story follows Sakura, who finds herself in a complicated relationship with Keisuke after a night of intimacy. Despite his dismissive attitude and attempts to distance himself, Sakura struggles with her feelings for him. The plot takes a supernatural turn when Sakura encounters a ‘love fairy’ named Zakuchan, who provides strict romantic lessons to help her transform from a casual partner into a serious girlfriend.

The voice actor for the character Zakuchan, who speaks in a Shiga dialect, will be announced at a later date. The series is written by Sorami Tachi and directed by Ayaka Kato.
