Yuki Yoza credits Dutch training camps for rise in ONE Championship kickboxing

Japanese striker Yuki Yoza, a former K‑1 champion, has become a top contender in ONE Championship’s bantamweight kickboxing division. After winning the K‑1 title he found sparring partners in Japan scarce, prompting him to travel regularly to the Netherlands, a hub for elite kickboxing. There he trains with Dutch fighters and has forged lasting friendships with the likes of Chico Kwasi and former world champion Andy Souwer.

Yoza’s Dutch‑based preparation helped him compile a 13‑fight win streak and earn a shot at the ONE bantamweight title, where he was outpointed by champion Jonathan Haggerty in April. He is scheduled to return to the ring against Ben Woolliss on 17 July at The Inner Circle 22 in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, aiming to re‑enter the title picture.
