Yulo brothers secure five apparatus finals at Asian Games

Carlos Yulo and his younger brother, Karl Eldrew Yulo, have secured multiple apparatus final berths for the Philippines at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

Carlos Yulo, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, qualified for the floor exercise, vault, and parallel bars finals. Despite topping the floor exercise qualification with 14.600 points, his campaign included challenges, such as a fall during his first vault attempt and difficulties on the horizontal bar. He finished the individual all-around qualification in 10th place.

Karl Eldrew Yulo qualified for two finals: the floor exercise and the high bar. Carlos noted that the siblings have supported one another during the competition, with Eldrew providing technical insights, particularly on the high bar where he has shown strength. The brothers, who trained in Japan during their youth, continue to represent the Philippines on the international stage.
